A man wearing a cap and a denim shirt working on a ceramic teapot, using a small tool to carve or refine the piece inside a workshop.

Each piece in my collection is crafted by hand, one at a time, in Portland, Oregon.

My practice centers on heavily textured, altered, and loosely thrown forms, inspired by and influenced by classic and contemporary shapes and techniques from Japan, Korea, China, and the United States.

A majority of my work is high fired in reduction and often features classic Shino and Celadon glazes while highlighting the raw, unglazed, iron rich clay bodies with which I most often work.

Each piece in my collection is one of one and is intended to stand as a singular reflection of my practice.
